In 2014 Chuck Kovacs & his daughter Kellie Kovacs Valko started the "Suzanne Kovacs Memorial Yard Sale"
as a way to raise money for Pay their Way, Copay assistance program.
The event was a huge success and they were able to raise $3400. So far since that event there have been 142
This year, the event was held in
September and I had the opportunity to travel from Tennessee to New Jersey to help out. I was in awe of the merchandise
for sale. ALL items were donated. ALL proceeds from this years sale will be used for Pay their Way Copay assistance
The 2015 total was $3729. That will
make a LOT of patients smile as they are told their copay has been made!
If you are interested in donating merchandise, or if you would like to help out with the event. . . please contact
us for information.
The goal moving forward is to raise
enough money to be able to hold a copay day every month. Our estimate for that is $8000 minimum per year!
Thank you to all of the volunteers, customers, patients, and wonderful people
who support the efforts of this event!
Kudos to Chuck
& Kellie as they honor their loved one!
sale is held in Flemington, NJ area and the copays made with ALL proceeds benefit those undergoing treatment at Hunterdon
Regional Cancer Center in Flemington, NJ.
In 2016, it
is our hope to hold a sister sale in Church Hill, Tennessee . . .and proceeds from that event will benefit those undergoing
treatment at Wellmont/Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Merchandise donations for BOTH events will be needed!
