I have never met Marla or her husband Larry yet unbeknownst to me,  because of our Pay their Way Copayment Assistance Program our paths crossed.

Yesterday when Larry called me to say that his wife, Marla had passed away I was touched.  He shared their story and he said that she had been a recipient of our program several times during the course of her treatment.

Along their journey, they discussed having donations made to us; specifically for the program at Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center.   I am always honored when families do this.  I am humbled by the courage and strength the patients and their families show, and deeply moved that "WE", Friends of Suzanne have made a difference in their life - no matter how small.

It is Larry's wish that ALL of the donations received in honor & memory of his beloved Marla be used in New Jersey, at Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center for "Pay their Way" our copayment assistance program.

I have been blessed during the last 10 years, with helping many patients, families and loved ones; by lending an ear, preparing food, giving advice, sitting with patients and most importantly helping to raise the funding needed to help offset the medical expenses incurred.

Thanking you from the bottom of my heart for your kind gesture during this very difficult time.

I always say that the saddest part of my role and involvement with Friends of Suzanne is that many times, I do not get to meet the patients.    Knowing that we make or have made a difference is enough for me.

God be with you Larry and Corey during this difficult time.
